A LETTER FROM AERO RECIP TO OUR RADIAL CUSTOMERS
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – May 1st, 2025
By the time you read this, you may know that Aero Recip is moving on from the Pratt & Whitney engines that became synonymous with who we are: a unique family-owned shop that overhauls and repairs radial and opposed engines, cylinders, accessories and oil coolers. Although P&W has been a big part of our commitment to keep piston engines in the air, we’ve made the difficult decision to phase out the R985 engine line in order to focus on Lycoming and Continental models.
In an effort to support you, we will continue to overhaul carburetors, magnetos and cylinders with our Transport Canada approved process, Trouble Free To TBO™. TFTBO™ provides a warranty to TBO on any head and barrel leakage or separation. With our years of experience we are also happy to continue supporting you with trouble shooting or any engine related questions.
Although times are changing we want to help you with this transition. If you are in need of an R985 engine, following are the shops that overhaul these engines:
Tulsa Aircrat Engines – Rex – 1-918-838-8532
Sun Air Parts – Dennis – 1-661-257-7708
Younkin Aviation – Ken – 1-479-839-3945
As we look to the future, we will continue to differentiate our company – first and foremost – with our commitment to the high level of care we consistently deliver to each customer. As the largest shop in Canada, we bring the service and quality required to keep your engine in the air, and our 24-hour AOG service that gives you direct access to real person and a good old-fashioned phone call.
We hope you’ll think of us for any Lycoming and Continental engine needs you may have in the future.
Sincerely Yours,
AERO RECIP CANADA, LTD
